Kieran is a Chartered Town Planner and has extensive planning experience over twenty years in the communications and renewable energy sectors in the UK and Ireland. He has headed up the planning element of a number of wireless telecommunications projects. He has also worked on a number of other strategic infrastructure projects including an undersea fibre optic cable project and has held a number of senior management roles dealing with the planning, environmental and site acquisition elements of projects across the UK & Ireland.
Kieran has built up an excellent reputation for professionalism and quality within the sectors he has worked in and amongst the planning authorities that he has dealt with extensively across England, Ireland, Scotland & Wales.
As a Chartered Town Planner, he is bound by the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) Code of Professional Conduct and therefore he act's in the best interests of clients offering transparent and realistic professional advice at all times. He studied for a MSc in Spatial Planning, holds a BSc in Estate Management and a Diploma in Project Management.
Alex Ball, MRTPI – Senior Planning Consultant
Alex has extensive expertise and experience in providing planning and environmental services for the wind, solar and telecommunications sectors which includes preparing planning applications, planning statements, Design and Access Statements, Environmental, Landscape & Visual Impact, Heritage Impact, pre-planning feasibility studies, GIS constraints, planning appeals, public consultation, site & landscape survey and finally project management of a large portfolio of wind, solar and telecoms planning applications.
Alex previously worked as an assistant planning consultant in GVA Grimley and as an assistant planning officer in Wirral Metropolitan Borough Council where he specialised in developing neighbourhood plans.
He is proficient in a number of industry related software packages, including: GIS, Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office Suite.
Alex is a member of the RTPI and he holds a Master of Planning (MPlan) from the University of Manchester and a B.A. in Economics and Planning from the University of Liverpool.
Yogeswaran Sundaramurthi - GIS Developer
Yogeswaran is currently undertaking a 3 year GIS PhD in Entrust. Entrust has been chosen by the Centre for Global Eco-Innovation (a collaboration between the University of Liverpool, Lancaster University and Inventya) to develop an innovative technology to help de-risk the planning process for renewable energy developments. This 3 year PhD being undertaken by Yogeswaran concerns the research and development of a GIS based planning framework for the UK, Ireland and European renewable energy sectors. This project encompasses all aspects of the EU’s renewable energy systems, including economic, environmental and social considerations within a GIS.
Yogeswaran previous worked at the National Aviation Company of India (Air India) in Chennai, India and Hindustan Aeronautical (HAL) in Bangalore, India. He holds a B.Eng in Aeronautical Engineering from Anna University, Chennai, India and a MSc in Simulation in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Liverpool. Yogeswaran has provided a key role on a number of renewable energy projects including the 'Simulation of Complete Wind Turbine Configuration', at the University of Liverpool and on a project concerning the 'Energy Efficiency of Wind Turbine Blades' at Tagore Engineering College, India.
Alison Hughes, MRTPI - Senior Planning Consultant
Alison joined Entrust in 2015 and brought considerable planning and EIA experience and expertise to the company. Alison's planning career spans over 23 years in both the public and private sectors. In the private sector, Alison previously worked as a Senior Associate at King Sturge and as a Senior Environmental Planner at Healey & Baker Chartered Surveying Consultancies in London and in the public sector at South Lakeland District Council as a Planning Officer.
Alison is a Chartered Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute and holds a MA in Environmental Impact Assessment and Management from the University of Manchester and a BA (Hons) in Town & Country Planning from the University of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne.
