February 2016 - Entrust received consent on appeal from the Planning Inspectorate after a period of 14 months for a 78m high wind turbine in Lincolnshire. Since the Written Ministerial Statement came into effect last June for wind energy, there has been only a 9% success rate for wind energy appeals.

December 2015 - Entrust has completed its 170th Full/GPDO planning application this year for a leading ADC telecommunications client on a new 4G wireless network in Great Britain with an outstanding success rate of over 99%.

December 2015 - Entrust secured planning permission at a Planning Committee in County Durham for 1 no. medium scale wind turbine measuring 45m to tip height despite the Planning Officer's recommendation for a refusal of planning permission. This grant of planning permission is a major achievement following the recent introduction of the Written Ministerial Statement by the new UK government which has sought to significantly limit the number of new onshore wind energy developments.

October 2015 - Entrust was commissioned to provide Cultural Heritage Assessments and Landscape & Visual Appraisals on a large number of new telecommunications masts right across the UK within a tight time frame which it has since received very positive feedback on from our client which is the largest wireless infrastructure owner in the UK.

May 2015 - Entrust has completed the Acquisition and Town Planning elements of a national emergency services network upgrade for one of the country's leading civil engineering and telecommunications network provider's.

April 2015 - Entrust has been appointed as planning consultant for 3 5MW solar parks in the North West of England.

February 2015 - Entrust secured planning permission for 1 no. 500KW wind turbine in Co. Wicklow, Ireland. Planning permission was granted by Wicklow County Council within 12 weeks due to our comprehensive pre-planning strategy.

January 2015 - Entrust has successfully secured planning permission for 1no. telecommunications structure on a greenfield site in Co. Waterford.

November 2014 - Entrust won 3 appeals within a 2 week time frame for 3 separate wind energy developments on Anglesey, North Wales. The Council refused permission for all 3 separate developments previously for a variety of reasons including cumulative issues, impact on an AoNB, impact on a PRoW. An important archaeology issue was overcome through negotiations with GAPS.

November 2014 - Entrust secured planning permission for 2no. telecommunications structures on 2no. separate greenfield sites in Co. Donegal, Ireland.

October 2014 - Entrust has secured planning permission for a 3 megawatt wind turbine in County Tipperary, Ireland measuring 126.5m to tip and 80m to hub. A full planning application including Environmental Statement was prepared by Entrust and submitted to the Council which refused planning permission. As a result Entrust submitted a comprehensive appeal to An Bord Pleanala which granted permission. The development is the largest single wind turbine development to be granted planning permission in Ireland to date.

October 2014 - Entrust successfully appealed 2no. special contribution conditions to An Bord Pleanála and secured planning permission for 2no. telecommunications structures on 2no. separate greenfield sites in Co. Mayo, Ireland.

October 2014 - Entrust secured planning permission for a telecommunications structure on a greenfield site in Co. Donegal, Ireland.

Sept 2014 - Entrust secured planning permission for a 500KW wind turbine in Yorkshire measuring 67.9m to tip and 40.9m to hub. A number of objections were overcome through negotiations with the various statutory consultees.   These included English Heritage, the National Air Traffic Service and Robin Hood and Doncaster Airport.   Mitigation such as a tree planting scheme and radar blanking were introduced in order to secure a grant of planning permission for the medium scale turbine.

August 2014 - Entrust secured planning permission for a telecommunications structure on 2no. separate greenfield sites in Co. Meath, Ireland.

July 2014 - Entrust secured planning permission for a telecommunications rooftop structure in Co. Kildare, Ireland.

June 2014 - Entrust successfully appealed 2no. special contribution conditions to An Bord Pleanála and secured planning permission for 2no. telecommunications structures on 2no. separate greenfield sites in Co. Mayo, Ireland.

Due to our considerable experience and expertise in dealing with medium scale wind turbines, we ensured the optimum site was chosen taking into account a multitude of local constraints; ecological, landscape, heritage, noise, shadow flicker and we also successfully dealt with a number of concerns that arose during the planning process to the satisfaction of the Local Planning Authority and Statutory Consultees.

April 2014 - Entrust secured planning permission for a telecommunications rooftop structure in Co. Monaghan, Ireland.

April 2014 - Entrust secured planning permission for 1no. telecommunications rooftop structure and 1no. greenfield structure in Co. Cavan, Ireland.

April 2014 - Entrust secured planning permission for 2no. telecommunications structure on 2no. separate sites (1no. rooftop and 1no. greenfield site) in Co. Roscommon, Ireland.  One application was for retention planning permission and the other was for permission.

April 2014 - Entrust secured planning permission for a telecommunications structure on a greenfield site in Co. Waterford, Ireland.

January 2014 - Entrust secured planning permission for a wind energy development at a Planning Committee in South Wales by a majority vote. Despite its close proximity to the Brecon Beacons National Park, Entrust were able to secure a grant of planning permission following extensive pre-planning consultation with the Brecon Beacons National Park Authority and the Local Planning Authority in order to secure a positive outcome.

October 2013 - Entrust secured planning permission for a 400kW wind turbine in Southern Scotland.   Permission was granted by the Scottish Government on Appeal following the initial refusal of the application by the Local Planning Authority.   The application was initially refused for "significant" landscape and visual impacts on the Regional Scenic Area and Landscape Character Area.   Following the refusal, Entrust submitted an appeal to the Scottish Government via written representation and successfully achieved planning permission within ten weeks.   A suite of supporting documents were prepared in-house including; a Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment, Cumulative Impact Assessment, Noise Impact Assessment and Heritage Impact Assessment amongst others.

October 2013 - Entrust secured permission for a 100KW wind energy development in Anglesey, North Wales. The grant of permission followed a protracted process of first appealing the application following Anglesey Council's refusal to grant permission in July 2012, its grant of permission by the Welsh Government in October 2012, a judicial review by a local opposition group to the High Court in January 2013, its then referral back to the Welsh Government in February 2013 and finally an approval by the Welsh Government on 16th October 2013.

July 2013 - Entrust secured retention planning permission for 2no. telecommunications structures on a greenfield site in Co. Tipperary, Ireland.

July 2013 - Entrust secured planning permission for 1no. telecommunications structure on a greenfield site in Co. Kilkenny, Ireland.

July 2013 - Entrust secured planning permission for 1no. telecommunications structure on a greenfield site in Co. Limerick, Ireland.

July 2013 - Entrust submitted a planning application for a 3.2MW wind energy project in the South of Ireland. Entrust is the lead planning consultant on this project having managed the entire Environmental Statement and produced a number of supporting reports in house, such as the Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment, Heritage Impact Assessment, Noise and Shadow Flicker Impact Assessment and Cumulative Impact Assessment amongst others.   Extensive pre-consultation was carried out with the Local Planning Authority in order to ensure a robust planning application.   A number of constraints were overcome such as, ecological impacts, archaeological impacts, radar interference, a steep access route and impacts on residential amenity due to the introduction of mitigating measures at an early stage and through detailed discussions with the Local Planning Authority.

July 2013 - Entrust won a Scottish Government tender to undertake the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), planning and environmental works for a 1MW wind energy development in Southern Scotland.

July 2013 - Entrust completed the planning due diligence for 4 no. proposed Solar Parks across England which range in scale from 5MW-30MW. Entrust was commissioned to undertake this project for a leading international solar developer.   The scope of this project included the assessment of ecological, landscape, heritage, residential amenity, flood risk and grid connection constraints to assess each site's viability from a planning and grid connection perspective.

24th  July 2013 - Planning permission was granted for a telecommunications installation which forms part of a National Communications Network in Co. Tipperary having resolved an enforcement order.

12th July 2013 - Planning permission received for a roof mounted solar installation in Cornwall.

10th July 2013 - Planning permission granted for a Solar Park in Cornwall.

4th  July 2013 - Planning permission was granted for a telecommunications installation which forms part of a National Communications Network in Co. Limerick.

4th July 2013 - Planning permission received for a Solar Pv rooftop installation in Loughborough.

1st  July 2013 - Planning permission was granted for a telecommunications installation which forms part of a National Communications Network in Co. Kilkenny.

1st July 2013 - Planning permission granted for a biomass plant in Alresford in England. Entrust successfully gained consent for this project which was within the curtilage of a Grade II Listed building to the satisfaction of the Planning Authority.

June 2013 - Entrust secured planning permission for 1no. rooftop telecommunications structure in Co. Meath, Ireland.

4th  June 2013 - Planning permission was granted for a telecommunications installation which forms part of a National Communications Network in Co. Cork. The site was in close proximity to a town and a detailed residential amenity assessment was carried out in support of the application.

10th May 2013 - Planning Permission received for roof mounted Solar Pv installation in a conservation area in Oldham near Manchester.

21st March 2013Entrust have obtained a grant of planning permission for 1. No 20kW in Anglesey. Entrust appealed against a failure to give notice within the prescribed period of a decision on an application for planning permission.

14th  March 2013 - Entrust attended the Future Cities - Singapore Collaboration event at the Crystal in London. The programme covered a range of topics including sustainable cities,liveability and Singapore's approach to urban sustainability in dense cities.

4th  March 2013 - Entrust attended the Centre for Global Eco-Innovation Showcase and Launch event in Manchester. Entrust are one of a small number of companies chosen to take part in the collaboration programme. Entrust, in partnership with Liverpool University are in the process of developing an expert G.I.S system for sustainable planning in the renewable energy sector.

15th February 2013- Solar Pv installation granted planning permission in Dorset.

16th February 2013- Solar PV roof mounted installation granted permission in Cumbria.

11th February 2013 - Ground mounted solar array granted permission in Snowdonia National Park. Entrust resolved the visual impact on a public footpath to the satisfaction of the Planning Authority.

30th January 2013 - Solar Pv Installation granted permission in Ulverston, Cumbria.


 

14th December 2012 - Entrust have obtained a grant of planning permission for 1 No. 500 kW wind turbine in Ireland within 8 weeks of the application being submitted due to our pro-active pre-consultation with the council and the submission of a comprehensive planning application which consisted of a number of specialist reports produced in -house such as noise, shadow flicker, heritage and LVIA.

5th December 2012 - Entrust have obtained a grant of planning permission for 16 No. 250 kW solar panels on a Grade II listed building in a conservation area in Shropshire.

25th October 2012 - Entrust have won an appeal for 2no. 50kW wind turbines in N. Wales. This is the first planning grant for a wind turbine in the area in over 10 months! The application had received more than 700 objecting representations throughout the planning process and Entrust were involved with the project from inception, producing Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment, and providing committee representation and  representation at appeal stage. The application demonstrated how any impacts of the development would be acceptable despite proximity to AONB and a number of Grade II Listed Buildings.

14th March 2013 - Entrust have obtained a grant of planning permission for 1 No. 50 kW wind turbine in Cornwall. Entrust overcame a range of constraints such as objections from English Heritage, noise issues and landscape and visual impact issues.

20th October 2012 - Entrust have obtained a grant of planning permission at planning committee for a 15kW wind turbine beside a National Park and a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). Entrust overcame objections from the National Park Authority and the local authorities landscape officer.

21st June 2012 - Solar Panel Developments on Library buildings have secured planning permission in Staffordshire Moorlands thanks to Entrust. Combined, the developments will produce more than 60kW.

20th June 2012- Entrust have secured Planning Permission at committee for 1no. 20kW Wind Turbine in an AONB in the West Midlands. Entrust represented the applicant at the planning committee meeting and the application received approval from the members.

14th June 2012 - Planning permission granted for 3no. 20kW Wind Turbines over looking a Historic Abbey and village in South West Scotland. Entrust engaged in extensive on site pre-planning consultations with the Local Authority to ensure the proposal was fully supported and a grant of planning permission issued.

13th June 2012 - Entrust secured planning permission for 1no. 50kW Wind Turbine overlooking a Conservation Area in the West Midlands. Entrust submitted a Heritage Impact Assessment to demonstrate the minimal impact on the surrounding heritage assets and to achieve planning permission.

13th June 2012 - Planning Permission granted for 1no. 15kW Wind Turbine in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) in the West Midlands.   Extensive consultations were carried out with the local planning authority and a Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment submitted in order to ensure a grant of planning permission.

31st May 2012- Entrust have secured Planning Permission for a 40kW roof mounted Solar PV Installation for an Equestrian Centre in the South West.

22nd May 2012 Entrust selected to develop innovative new technology to de-risk the planning process

Entrust has been chosen by the Centre for Global Eco-Innovation (a collaboration between the University of Liverpool, Lancaster University and Inventya) to develop an innovative technology to help de-risk the planning process for renewable energy developments.  This exciting 3 year PhD project concerns the research and development of a GIS based planning framework for the UK and European renewable energy sectors. The planning process associated with the development of renewable energy sites can be convoluted and time consuming. This project seeks to encompass all aspects of the UK's and EU renewable energy planning process, including economic, environmental and social considerations within a GIS. Incorporating these parameters within a GIS will provide a framework that optimises the time required to progress a renewable energy project through the development and planning process.

23rd April 2012 - Entrust have secured Planning Permission for 1no. 20kW Wind Turbine in a Coastal National Park on the South Coast of Wales.   Following extensive consultations and the submission of an Archaeological Appraisal the project was approved.

12th April 2012 - Planning Permission Granted for 2no. 50kW Wind Turbines in South West Wales. Entrust successfully secured planning permission for this small-medium sized wind turbine development via a non-material amendment.

26th March 2012 - Planning Permission Granted - 1 no. 15kw wind turbine in South Wales. Entrust submitted a high quality planning application consisting of Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment and a detailed ecological report.

22nd March 2012 - Entrust gained planning permission for 2no. 15kW Wind Turbines in Southern Scotland. The application went before the planning committee and was subsequently granted planning permission.

13th March 2012 - Planning Permission granted for 1no. 20kW Wind Turbine in the East Midlands. The granted development was next to an industrial estate on the fringe of a residential and urban area.

20th February 2012 - Planning Permission granted for a 50kw roof mounted Solar PV installation on a commercial building in the South West. The consent marked the 6th consecutive planning approval for a number of commercial buildings in the area.

13th February 2012 - Planning Permission granted for a 28kw roof mounted Solar PV installation on commercial building in the South West.

8th February 2012 - Planning Permission granted for a 120kw roof mounted Solar PV installation on a number of school buildings in the South East. Entrust submitted a number of elevation drawings which lead to the planning consent.

25th January 2012 - Planning permission granted for 1no. 20kW Wind Turbine in Cumbria. A Photo-montage report was submitted in order to address concerns about visual impact.

23rd January 2012 - Entrust received Planning Approval for 50kw roof mounted Solar PV installation on a commercial building in the South West.

20th January 2012 - Entrust received planning permission for 1no. 15kW Wind Turbine in South West Wales. A photomontage report was submitted to the local planning authority to address landscape and visual impact concerns.

17th January 2012 - Entrust received an approval for 2no. 50kW Wind Turbines in the East Midlands. Extensive bird and bat risk assessments were carried out in order to remove an objection from the Local Wildlife Trust and Natural England.

16th January 2012 - Entrust received an approval for 1no. 20kw Wind Turbine Yorkshire &  The Humber. The site previously had been granted permission for a smaller wind turbine development.

13th January 2012 - Planning permission was granted for 1no. 15kW Wind Turbine in North West England. An detailed ecological report was submitted as part of the planning application.

6th January 2012 - Entrust received planning approval for 30kw roof mounted Solar PV installation in the South West.

3rd January 2012 - Planning permission granted for 13 No. 250w roof mounted solar panels in the South East

5th December 2011 - Planning permission granted for 16No. 250w ground mounted solar panels in the South West.

28th November 2011 - Planning permission was granted for 1 no. 20kw in the East of England. The development was granted permission amidst concerns from the council over turbine noise emissions and shadow flicker output. Entrust submitted a number of reports to prove that nearby properties would not be negatively affected.

28th November 2011 - Planning Permission for 1no. 20kW Wind Turbine received in Central Scotland. A custom size pole was used in order to maximise wind capture whilst reducing the landscape and visual impacts that may associated with larger turbines.

23rd November 2011 - Entrust received planning permission for 1no. 20kW Wind Turbine in South West Scotland. The application was successfully approved at a development control committee meeting.

11th November 2011 - Planning permission granted for 1no. 15kW Wind Turbine in the North West of England. The application was granted at a development control committee meeting and an objection by an airport was successfully overcome.

8th November 2011 - Planning permission granted for 1no. 15kW Wind Turbine and 4kW Solar PV Array in the Midlands. Entrust successfully overturned objections from the Coal Authority and Natural England through further survey work.

27th October 2011 - Planning permission granted for 1no. 20kW Wind Turbine in South East Wales. Photomontages were submitted as part of the application to secure planning permission.

20th October 2011 - Planning permission granted for 1no. 50kW Wind Turbine in East Midlands.   An MoD objection was successfully overturned on this application to ensure a grant of planning permission.

18th October 2011 - Planning Permission granted for 1 no. 20kw Wind turbine in Scotland. Entrust submitted a ZTV and Photo montages to assist the planning application.

5th October 2011 - Planning Permission granted for 1no. 20kw Wind Turbine in Western Scotland.

30th September 2011 - Entrust secured planning permission for 2no. 20kW Wind Turbines in the North West of England. An Ecological report and Noise report were submitted in support of the application.

27th September 2011 - Planning Permission granted for 1no. 15kw Wind Turbine in Scotland.

19th September 2011 - Planning Permission granted for 3no. 20kW Wind Turbines in Central Scotland. Extensive consultation was carried out with the MoD in order to overturn an objection.

22nd August 2011 - Planning Permission granted for 1no. 15kW Wind Turbine in the North West of England. An MoD objection had to be overcome in order to secure a grant of planning permission.

29th July 2011 - Entrust secured planning permission for 1no. 15kW Wind Turbine in the North West of England. Extensive consultation was carried out with the MoD in order to mitigate a potential radar conflict.
